Peter has been an outdoorsman from an early age. Raised in Annapolis, MD, Peter grew up fishing the brackish waters of the Chesapeake Bay for striped bass with his father. While studying Marine Science, Biology and Business at Coastal Carolina University, he was fortunate to make enduring friendships with several South Carolina locals who introduced him to hunting turkeys, waterfowl, whitetail and sport fishing in South Carolina.
Peter’s passion for wildlife and the outdoors is realized on a daily basis through his career as the Senior Environmental Specialist and Natural Resources Manager for a successful environmental consulting firm. Peter has been guiding property owners through the process of wetland delineation and overall property management for over 13 years. On behalf of his clients, Peter works closely with several State and Federal agencies along with contractors to enhance the wildlife value on many privately-owned properties under his care. His experience with habitat assessment and appraisal, whitetail deer management, herd quality appraisals, food plot design, crop selection, warm season grasses, soil sampling and timber stand improvement have transformed the properties under his supervision into virtual whitetail paradises. Additionally, Peter can help improve habitat for fawning, suggest improvements to hold older bucks and help control predators to improve fawn survival.
As the owner and operator of a small plant nursery located in Murrells Inlet, SC, Peter believes that everyone can enjoy the outdoors, even on very small tracts. Many of his nursery clients grow edible plants and species that benefit and attract wildlife to their own back yards.
Peter looks forward to putting all his knowledge and skill to work for Elliott Recreational Properties clients.
