This 70 acre Clark county farm was created with trophy whitetail deer in mind. This farm has diverse sections created for the specific purposes of holding and growing large bucks as well as producing a healthy deer herd.

Large old White Oak and White Pine timber with thick understory provides plenty of security cover through the travel corridor which funnels down along the creek which runs through the area just a few steps to the North of the farm.

Another area has been planted in pines and left in tall grass which provided a great thermo break as well as bedding cover.

On the opposite side of the farm a 10 acre block of timber was left in Wood comprised mainly of White Oaks. This area is left as a sanctuary and only the edges are hunted.

Bordering this area is a large grassy knoll which bucks are noted for cruising in the daytime during the rut. But it also acts as a staging area where the deer can watch the fields before entering fields to feed giving you those precious extra minutes of daylight to get the job done.

Even the tillable ground has been worked with the deer in mind. Long grassy strips with trees are coveted for providing extra cover throughout the corn and beans. The small trees in these strips are often killed by all the bucks rubbing the trees.

This farm also has income potential as well. A small area is used for horse grazing and the tillable acreage is rented for crop farming which is currently in soybeans.

The surround farms practice QDM and are often not even hunted during the archery seasons.

Agent overview:

This farm is highly capable of growing and holding mature whitetail deer for a multitude of reasons. The first is that the farm is perfectly sectioned up with bedding, food, timber and sanctuary. Especially the timber, there is a lot of white oaks on this farm producing massive quantities of acorns. Second, the surrounding area is mostly agricultural lands which grow Corn, Soybeans and Alfalfa. Third is that the Creek which flows through the area has created a large set back of forest on each side of the creek which has created a funnel affect which happens to pinch a bit more on this farm. This will be key when trying to catching that cruising buck during the rut. Last, access to this farm is from the south along a highway which helps with covering your wind and provides quiet access to your stands.

80 acres of top quality hunting land in a hard to come by central Wisconsin farmland area.

This parcel is set up perfectly for the predominant west/northwest winds and has a good trail system throughout with road frontage on two sides so you can sneak to your stand sites undetected. There are several permanent deer stands built on the property, placed in strategic locations, ready to hunt with shooting lanes cut. There are many small openings on the property adjacent to thick cover that would be perfect for planting those out of the way big buck hunting food plots. There is also a 4 acre destination food plot located on the east side that was newly seeded in 2009 with clover, alfalfa and timothy.

The northern end of the property butts up to a huge grain field. The north property line extends about 50 feet into this field creating a ready-set food plot planting area right up against heavy cover. This property has the thick security cover necessary to hold deer on the property. Big bucks will be present during the rut to check out the huge doe bedding area.

This property is located along a prime river corridor with the Popple River flowing through the property's southwest corner. Look at the aerial image and you will see that this river corridor is one huge funnel going right through the property.

The surrounding area has many QDM neighbors and there have been several nice bucks taken by the current landowner, including a buck that the DNR estimated to be 8.5 years old. Many sheds have been found, indicating that the bucks use this property year-round. There is good access on a plowed town road and electricity is close by.

I have rarely seen the concentration of deer sign that I observed on this tract of land. If you are looking for a great hunting property that is absolutely loaded with deer, look no further. Call today!
