Hunting Land Within 90 Minutes of Big Cities
When it comes to deciding where to live, the number one amenity for most outdoorsmen is proximity to great hunting and fishing. However, it’s just a fact of life that jobs, family life, modern conveniences, etc., sometimes get in the way of being able to live close to acres known for big bucks. Kids need good schools, your significant other may not be ready to live less than 10 miles from a Target and let’s face it: you need a job to support all this. But everyone needs a place to get away and pursue his or her passions and escape the hustle and bustle of modern day stresses.
There is no shortage of great hunting properties within an hour and a half of several major cities. Here are few to start your search:

“This property is one of a kind,” according to Gabe Adair, the Whitetail Properties’ listing agent. “The building sites, fishing and hunting opportunities are flat out ridiculous.” If you like the idea of having a cabin overlooking a world-class fishing lake out your back door and trophy deer hunting out the front, then this place is almost too good to be true.
“The water on this tract has 25-plus-foot visibility and the fishing doesn’t get any better,” Adair said. The lake also serves as a waterfowl haven during the migration. Two Boone & Crockett bucks were killed on the property just a few years ago, which means there are bound to be others still lurking around.
