Old Farmhouse With Outstanding Views & Mature Hardwoods In Northern AL

Description

Sometimes you know when you are on a special tract of land, when I photographed this property I saw a double rainbow from the view of my drone and I do think this place is a treasure. It sets along Highway 35, giving you great access to Cedar Bluff AL, Fort Payne AL and Rome GA. There are approximately 40 +/- AC of fenced pasture and the remaining ridge is covered in a mature mixed forest of predominantly hardwood timber. There is a trail that takes you up on the slope where the views are expansive and you’ll be looking over Spring Creek bottoms and the rolling countryside. A couple of meadows on top of the ridge would make excellent food plots. There are turkey dusting bowls and rubs all along the slope and ridge-top. I could not imagine a better combination farm if you wanted some grazing acreage upfront and have excellent hunting in the back. Plenty of road frontage so it would make a good candidate for the division if a family wanted to go together and divide into smaller farms.  There is an old farmhouse that will need some updates along a loop driveway down near the highway. Premium homesites are all along the ridge that would overlook your whole farm. Only a short drive to Weiss Lake could be your getaway for relaxation, recreation and a place to call home.
