Big Sioux River Deer Hunting Property

Description

As you near the end of the gravel road and see the treetops in the distance, you can’t help but think about what big buck may be residing in that secluded timber stand. As you pull off the gravel, you follow the dirt road that leads to some of the best habitats a deer hunter could ask for. Nestled up to the Big Sioux River, this timbered tract is surrounded by farmland, making this a great sanctuary for wildlife in a sea of agriculture. The mature timber consists of the following hardwoods: maple, cottonwood, hackberry, ash, and basswood among others. In between the mature timber is an open area full of new growth cottonwoods and willows with native grasses intermixed. Towards the Northwest side of the property, there is a food plot sitting in a great location to be able to access and hunt effectively. The West edge of the property is bordered by a levee system. This levee can be a hunter’s best friend for access. One can easily walk the entire edge of the property without being seen by bedded deer. This property is enrolled into a perpetual Wetland Reserve Program and cannot be built on. If you are in the market for your own hunting property, you will want to take a look at this one.
