There are many CRP programs available that can help mitigate erosion, and, they can ultimately improve the habitat and the hunting on your property, while also providing an annual payment.
If you have a GOOD tree stand location already, there are ways to make it BETTER! In this video we take about 30 minutes, a chainsaw and herbicides and enhance a bow stand setup for this fall!By simply girdling and spraying undesirable tree species within about 50 yards of this tree stand location, we open up the canopy allowing sunlight to get to the forest floor and encourage new growth, while also giving the desirable white and red oak trees some breathing room - with intentions of increasing their acorn production!
Bowhunting food plots can be an effective way to harvest whitetails. But, depending on the size of the plot it can still be tough to get deer within bow range while maintaining steady wind direction and good entry and exit.In this video we are designing a food plot with the intention of funneling deer within bow range of a tree stand. A little bit of thought and preparation can go a long way during the hunting season!
