Description
This small tract is located southwest of Hidalgo and northwest of the T intersection of E 1925th Ave and N 1050th St. The west side borders the Embarras River and is surrounded by timber on all other sides. There are large farm fields to the east and west of the river. A select cut was completed a couple of years ago, but several mature white oaks and other hardwoods still exist. There are multiple hills and valleys on this small tract while still having plenty of flat ridge tops that provide good bedding areas for deer. All the downed treetops will also offer great nesting cover for the turkeys. New successional growth will begin with the canopy being open and sunlight being able to reach the forest floor. The property will only get thicker and provide better security cover and habitat for the wildlife. This property is landlocked and will need permission from adjacent landowners for access or have to be accessed from the river.
