Bryan grew up in the mountains in the Alleghany Highlands near the Jackson River, where he learned the value of hard work and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. If he wasn’t playing ball or chasing his childhood sweetheart, Rachael, you could find him in the woods or floating and trout fishing on the Jackson River.
Today, he and his wife, Rachael, are the proud owners of their own mountain and hunting tract just a short side-by-side ride from their home, which Bryan has transformed into a thriving hunting property with a passion for whitetail deer and turkey hunting. Their family, which includes their three children, Penelope, Price, and Pearce, also enjoy spending time on the land hunting morels and playing in the small spring that runs through the property. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Bryan cherishes coaching his three children and other area youth in baseball, soccer, and basketball.
Bryan spent 18 years in finance, where he gained extensive experience financing real estate, including farms, timberland, and hunting tracts in Western Virginia and West Virginia. He takes pride in using his finance experience, along with his knowledge of the outdoors, to help his clients prepare their property to achieve the highest value. He is excited to offer clients the opportunity to utilize his auction business, which complements his traditional real estate services.
Bryan is committed to providing his clients with the best real estate experience they have ever had and is passionate about serving them to the best of his abilities. If you are looking to buy or sell a country home, farmland, timberland, or hunting property, please don’t hesitate to give him a call.
Testimonials
Bryan Thompson played a key role in helping us acquire our dream property. We searched for a long time to find the perfect property for our needs, and Bryan was more than helpful in that process. I think he showed us 3-4 properties over an eight-month span and he was always happy to spend as much time with us as it took to show us everything. He was well versed about each area and property he was showing - able to answer our questions, answering more than we even knew to ask.
When I say he played a key role in the purchase of our land, I mean that we absolutely could not have acquired it without him! It turned out to be a highly sought after piece, and he was willing to be there on very short notice and aggressively advocated for us. He showed up (as he always did) with a side by side so that we could see as much of the property as we could access. He spent hours showing us everything and even walked through the creek to get downstream pictures. When it came to making an offer, he was helpful but not pushy. And after the purchase he continued and continues to be available to us for questions we have. We are so thankful for him and appreciate all his hard work! Real estate commissions are hefty, but he was worth his weight in salt!
