About Chris Serlin
Christopher Serlin was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and Catskill region, where agriculture, land stewardship, and the outdoors have been a part of his life from the very beginning. Growing up in this landscape gave him a deep understanding of rural property, working farms, and the importance of managing land with care, purpose, and long-term vision.
Christopher brings hands-on experience in excavation, construction, land clearing, and agricultural land use, including work with smaller working farms and cattle-based operations. He has spent years improving and managing land for both agricultural and wildlife purposes, with a strong emphasis on soil health and habitat development—understanding how nutrition moves from the soil, through the land, and ultimately to the wildlife and livestock it supports. This practical background allows him to evaluate land not only for what it is today, but for its long-term potential and productivity.
His agricultural experience spans the full spectrum of land and food systems. Christopher has worked directly within the livestock and processing side of agriculture, giving him firsthand insight into how working land supports food production from start to finish. This perspective has strengthened his respect for responsible land management, ethical use of resources, and the connection between healthy land and sustainable outcomes.
An avid outdoorsman, Christopher is deeply passionate about hunting, fishing, and conservation. He is an accomplished turkey, whitetail deer, waterfowl, and small game hunter, and also enjoys fly fishing. He spends considerable time in the field learning how land, habitat, and wildlife interact, and works closely with his father in training his gun dog, Hank—reinforcing values of discipline, patience, and respect for the outdoors. His approach to the outdoors is rooted in stewardship and ensuring the land remains healthy, productive, and respected for future generations.
Christopher is committed to giving back through the outdoors. He volunteers as a guide for disabled veterans and first responders through his father’s foundation, Hope For Heroes, using time in the field and hunting experiences as a way to give back to those who have served. This work has reinforced his belief that land is more than an asset—it is a place of purpose, healing, and connection.
Christopher’s connection to land extends beyond recreation or production—it is rooted in responsibility and long-term stewardship. He believes well-managed land should be healthier and more productive with each generation, whether its purpose is agriculture, wildlife habitat, or family legacy. With a lifelong connection to the Hudson Valley and Catskills, Christopher takes pride in helping clients protect, improve, and pass on land that reflects their values—ensuring it remains a place of purpose, opportunity, and stewardship for generations to come.
