I grew up in Tuscarawas County. In Jr. High, my parents purchased a small farm. I began hunting, fishing and trapping at a young age. That love for the outdoors continues and I have spent most of my spare time for the last 3 decades hunting deer and turkey in Ohio and Pennsylvania. I have been fortunate to have a long career in public service with much of my time spent managing natural resource based parks. After serving in the U.S Army 1st Infantry Division, I went on to get 2 undergraduate degrees in parks, natural resources and wildlife management. To advance my career, I earned a master’s degree in public administration and graduated from Ohio’s police academy. While managing large public properties, I spent the last 20 years looking for my own property and was fortunate to purchase just over 100 acres in Perry County last fall.
