The Land
The internal road system is very good allowing you to traverse this diverse tract. A wide gravel drive takes you to the top of the mountain where you will come into two large open fields. These fields have shooting houses in place and make excellent rifle stands. These fields are conducive for growing large food plots to hold wildlife and are a rifle hunter's dream. The views are incredible from this side of the ridge as well, looking towards Lookout Mt. to the east. There are internal woods roads that carry you down in the timber, where there are hardwood stands as well as mixed pine/hardwood stands. Several smaller bowhunting or hidey-hole food plots are strategically placed throughout the property. The powerlines running through the tract make for great shooting lanes for rifle hunters as well and make for diverse vegetation for early succession cover, poult rearing cover, and woody browse and cover for deer. The deer and turkey populations are very good in this area and as you can see by some of the success of the harvest photos and trail cam pictures, this ridge has very good bucks living here.
