Whitetail Properties is pleased to present this beautiful and secluded country cabin near Cohocton. Nestled between two babbling creeks, this immaculate cabin is perched on a knoll with towering hemlocks and hardwoods giving you that escape to the Adirondack feel, but only a short river from Rochester, Dansville, Hornell, and Corning. this 16 x 24 cabin sleeps eight adults and has 13' peaked ceilings for an open concept timber design. Tongue and groove pine lines the cabin walls and ceiling for a rustic decor to match. A wood stove warms the cabin and your heart on cool fall nights or even the winter months if snowy visits are part of your get-a-way plans. The 10 x 24 deck overlooks one branch of the creek and the hemlock ridge leading to the fork in the creek, where the second arm merges. All the while you hear only the wind in the trees and soothing sounds of the water tumbling through the rocks. The hardwood floor is insulated, the bunks each have their own light and electric wall plug, and the propane stove and bar fridge complement the amenities for your stay. The cabin has Anderson brand windows, a laminated kitchen countertop, and a wood stove, with a window air conditioner available for the hottest months. But breezy afternoons are generally the peace and quiet here and are what attracts you to this tucked away secret spot. A playhouse is on-site for entertaining children, and a fire ring is here for campfires and summer night cookouts. An 8 x 10 shed is on the property to store your lawnmower and tools, etc. Deer and turkey hunting on the property is a popular spring and fall activity, and a dozen deer were observed during our tour. An ATV trail circles the property and can be enjoyed just as easily as a nature walk with a bridge over the creek, or as a network to access the property for hunting or recreational ATV riding. There is an open field in the north corner of the property that can be made into a secluded food plot for the savvy hunter looking to attract and hold deer on the property. Check out this well-maintained and hidden gem so close to town, it's priced well to sell, and you can enjoy four seasons in the country.
