Description
When you stand on this ridge you will have a sense of awe as you look down on the Tennessee River. The views from this tract are panoramic and with several openings in the timber to take advantage of the vistas both up and downriver. Access is along a paved county road and near the front entrance is a clearing. It is used as a camp area on a flat before you start to travel up the mountain. There are several miles of logging roads/UTV trails that wind you up around the slopes and ridgetops. The timber is made up of primarily mature hardwoods, with a few small pockets of thick cover and patches of cedar. There are wide benches with big white oaks and red oaks and many draws and saddles that would make excellent stand locations for bow or rifle hunter. Valleys with mountain streams roll and bounce down the slopes toward the river. Cool rock outcroppings jut out from the ridge making for a unique ride with beautiful natural scenery as you traverse the land. There are numerous places that would make a cabin site taking advantage of the views. The main trails gain you access to the powerlines that run across the property. These lines right of ways make for excellent shooting lanes for food plot locations or for UTV enthusiasts to ride. A long-range shooting range would be possible here as well. The hunting here is excellent! Deer and turkey populations are great in the area and the way this ridge is situated as the main cover between two large fertile crop fields in the river bottom, its no wonder this place is loaded with those big bucks for which Jackson Co. in known. The food plots are distributed throughout the property making it conducive to hunt several hunters at one time with plenty of room. Also, you are only a short drive to a public boat launch and you can be in Lake Guntersville, a 69,000 +/- acre public lake, with some of the best bass fishing there is anywhere and the waterfowl hunting is very good as well. I could not imagine a better place to build your mountain retreat! If you are looking for that place to call your own, this treasure is tucked right in the northeast corner of Alabama near Chattanooga, TN could be that place! Please give me a call to set up your private showing and we can ride up on top and take in the views.
