Located on top of Bingham Mountain this is an incredible hunting property. The timber is primarily mature hardwoods with majority chestnut oaks and white oaks but also a good mix of red oaks, hickory and poplar as well. Productive food plots with shooting houses are strategically spaced on the ridge top. There are slopes, gaps and rock outcroppings that funnel the deer through specific areas, making outstanding stand locations. Down the slopes are several benches, and if you are familiar with Jackson county, you know how productive these benches can be for access and deer travel, especially during the rut. On the brow, near the front edge of the tract, is a campsite with panoramic views. The access road winds up the mountain from the small town of Trenton and is about 5 miles back into the land from a county road which gives you that private feel of a remote hunting camp. The same few family members have had very good success hunting here over many years and have taken some of those big bucks that make Jackson Co. the #1 ranked B&C county in Alabama. I do not think there would be anyone that could ride the trail system and not brag on how beautiful the timber is on these ridge tops and slopes, a lot of folks say, “ I wish it had some mature hardwood timber”, well this has the timber.
