The first thing I noticed on the property was the well-manicured clover trails. Trails are an important part of a property and to have a good trails system that lets you quietly slip in and out of the woods is huge, however, the clover on the trails blew me away. Why is that important? Well, there are several reasons but if you love to grouse and turkey hunt you know clover is a staple in their diet. The current owner has even stated that in the down cycle of the grouse he has had tremendous success and it is not all related to the clovered trails. There have been several selective harvests of timber resulting in several different stages of successional regrowth of the timber on the property again providing ultimate habitat for all the critters. Coupled with the fact the property has ample cover, water, and food you can see why so many game species call this place home. So whether you want to hunt deer on the lake ridges and food plots, hunt bear in the thick Tamarac swamp, or grouse on the trails, or ducks and geese in the beaver pond, or turkey just about anywhere on the property you need to check this one out!
