This property is a remote timber tract surrounded by dense forest. The topography is gentle – featuring both bottomland and a ridgetop. There is a stream that runs through the front part of the property. Access to this property is via county route 26/31 – but this county road has not been maintained. The property is not far from the town of Kingwood and a Walmart Supercenter (2.8 miles), but it is tucked way back in the timber away from any main roads. In the road’s current condition, it is UTV/ATV or foot access only in wet conditions. A 4x4 truck or SUV could make it to the property in dry conditions. Access from the main road is approximately one mile. The road condition is graveled and decent until you are about 2300’ from the property – which is where the road turns to dirt. There is a road base, but it has not been maintained. Once on the property, there is a flat area adjacent to the stream that is about 4 acres and would be suitable for building a remote hunting cabin and parking area. There used to be a home on the property many years ago – but it has been demolished and removed entirely. There is a powerline located about 500’ from the property line – so electricity is available. Private water and sewer would be required. If you are looking for a remote hunting property that offers privacy and strong wildlife populations, you need to come to check this property out. Between the ridgetops and stream, it offers great habitat diversity and has strong deer and turkey sign throughout. You also will have good bear and small game populations in this area.
