About Jake Foy
Growing up in Western Illinois, Jake developed a lifelong connection to the outdoors, rooted in hunting, farming, and stewardship of the land. Many of his earliest and most influential experiences took place on his grandparents’ farm in Pike County, an area known for world-class whitetails and rich agricultural tradition. It was there that Jake learned how to work the ground, manage habitat, and appreciate how every acre has its own personality and potential. These experiences shaped his respect for wildlife, conservation, and the responsibility that comes with land ownership.
Jake later earned a degree in Agriculture Business from Western Illinois University, where he built a strong foundation in farm operations, land economics, and property management. His education strengthened his understanding of productivity, soil health, and long-term land value, skills that directly support buyers and sellers looking to maximize both recreational and agricultural potential.
Professionally, Jake has worked full-time in the outdoor and agricultural industries, specializing in photography, videography, and media production. His work with respected brands such as Realtree Outdoors, Major League Bowhunter, Hunt Masters, Logan AgriService, and Lessons from the Woodlot has taken him across the United States, documenting wildlife management, farming practices, and the results of thoughtfully managed properties. Time spent on diverse, high-performing farms has given him practical insight into the details that matter: access, habitat, crop performance, timber value, herd management, and overall land stewardship.
As a Land Specialist with Whitetail Properties, Jake brings a blend of hands-on experience, agricultural knowledge, and genuine passion for the outdoors. He evaluates every property through the lens of a hunter, a land manager, and a conservation-minded steward. His approach focuses on understanding how a property produces, how it lies, how it hunts, and how it aligns with a buyer’s long-term goals, whether recreational, agricultural, or investment-driven.
Jake believes land is more than an asset; it is a legacy that can be improved, enjoyed, and passed down for generations. His aspiration within Whitetail Properties is to help clients not only buy and sell land but truly understand it. He aims to continue building his expertise, growing his territory, and serving landowners with authenticity, passion, and deep respect for the land that defines Whitetail Properties’ mission.
