Description
Everything done to this property was intended to improve wildlife habitat and recreational use and it shows! “Dry Falls Farm” borders the Boy Scout reservation Kia Kima and boasts 4,300 feet of river frontage along the South Fork of the Spring River. The river is a year-round spring fed river teaming with smallmouth bass along with numerous other species of fish. The river has several small waterfalls with deep pools, riffles and rock outcroppings along the river that produce stunning views would make excellent sites for a cabin. Beautiful mature hardwoods including white oak, red oak, hickory and walnut attract and hold wildlife. In the field is a small irrigated orchard containing apple, peach, plum, and pear trees. The main building is a 40x50 cypress sided shop with living quarters in it. The deer population on this farm is never ending. Since purchasing this farm in 2004 the owner has harvested over 150 deer under a DMAP program and he says that he hasn’t made a dent. Part of this reason is the Boy Scouts of America owns the 900-acre camp adjoining the property and it is not hunted except in rare circumstances. The turkey population is abundant, and they are definitely attracted to the food plots and mature hardwoods.
