Description

The west food plot covers over 2 acres and has been planted to alfalfa, providing a tremendously secluded hunting area throughout most of the deer season and all of turkey season. This food plot is bordered by heavy thicket cover to the west – most likely a large bedding area – which highly increases daylight visits to the food plot by the deer. A small Banks Outdoors blind is tucked next to a cedar overlooking this plot, and a couple treestands have been placed on the east end of the plot.
There is a large pond bed in the north center portion of the property (between the two plots). This pond will hold a great amount of water during years or normal precipitation. The current owner had the pond dug deeper and expanded to the south within the last few years. Once we return to normal rainfall conditions, this pond will once again be thriving. The Sellers have enjoyed fishing from the pond as recent as a couple years ago.
The acreage making up the balance of the farm is expired CRP (approximately 79 acres) and native grassland with scattered cedars, locusts, and thickets, and brush. The owner recently control burned some of the grassland east of the pond, and it is now thriving with native clover.
