Enjoy the scenic views and recreational opportunities of owning land along the Mississippi River. Just south of historic Clarksville are 23 acres m/l of timbered river bottom ground with river access and a 30 acres m/l island that offers deer and waterfowl hunting opportunities. Most of the mainland is under a wetlands reserve program. Although there is a small area along the end of the Port Marmac community that could be a potential River cabin site or place to park your RV. It is just a short boat ride down the majestic Mississippi River to the island. The north end of the island is currently home to a pair of eagles who have made a nest in a large cottonwood tree. As I walked the island, I noticed plenty of deer tracks and several old rubs along a rub line. This private island would be a great place to park your boat, bar-b-que, and enjoy a lazy summer day while the rest of your group enjoys water sports, fishing, or other activities on the river.
