Not only is land a great investment, but unlike other investments, you might be able to pick up a couple hundred inches of antler while you’re waiting for the right time to sell.
This guy was taken on the north end of my property in Pike County, Illinois. He was coming out of the corn field to get a drink at the creek. I have a stand right on the creek bank looking over a food plot at the end of the corn field.
Pretty as a picture, he slipped out of the corn, walked down the path I assumed he was using and stopped 18 yards from the stand on the creek rock. Doesn’t get much easier than that, does it?
Just two short years ago I made a call to Rich Baugh to inquire about a farm in Clarke County, Iowa. Lyla and I would like to say THANK YOU for the time he spent with us. We really appreciated the night we had dinner with his family, researching potential properties, along with the two following days looking at farms. That first year I committed to hunting as much as possible. 67 days were spent hunting 3 specific bucks that were captured on trail camera. I was able to harvest two of the bucks with my bow that both scored in the 170’s, and a third buck with my muzzle loader that scored in the mid-160’s.

I had to write and let you know how happy I am with my “Whitetail Properties experience”. With an immense amount of help from Jason Cleveland, I was able to purchase my 1st piece of property for hunting. Being a novice to both property purchase and hunting, Jason helped me understand the process and helped direct me to the right piece of property that would fit my needs.
I closed on my 120 acre tract on November 8th and was hunting on opening day of firearms season just one week later. What a thrill to be hunting on my very own land. And what a heart thumping ride of adrenaline it was to encounter and take a 152” trophy on my 1st day in the stand! Needless to say I am hooked.
